“Oh, come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!” (Psalm 95:6 ESV).
We serve a mighty and powerful God! It is our goal at Byron Baptist to create an atmosphere that enables each member of the congregation to worship in Spirit and in truth. We believe that remembering the greatness of our God and the goodness of His deeds motivates authentic and sincere praise. Our God has done great things for each of us, and He is worthy of our heart-felt worship. We invite members of the congregation to come each week with thankful hearts as we give honor and glory to God through singing, scripture reading, corporate prayer, and the preaching of the Word.
Vocal Ministry
We are always looking for those with hearts for worship and the gift of singing to serve in our music ministry. Our Adult Choir is available for those of middle school age and older. It meets on Sundays from 5:00-6:30PM and is part of the Sunday morning services. In the past, it has also prepared seasonal specials such as Easter and Christmas presentations. If you are interested in joining please contact Ryan Maddox at ryan@byronbaptist.church.
The church also has a Praise Team that helps lead worship on Sunday mornings. This group meets with the Choir on Sunday evenings. Openings are limited and require a meeting with the worship pastor. Contact Ryan Maddox at ryan@byronbaptist.church if you would like to serve here.
Instrumental Ministry
Our Praise Team consists of guitarists, percussionists, and keyboard specialists and meets along with the Choir at 5:00 on Sunday evenings. We are always looking for musicians who love the Lord and seek to use the gifts and talents that He gave them to glorify their Creator. Just like the vocalists, openings are limited and require a meeting with the worship pastor. If interested, please schedule a meeting with Ryan Maddox at ryan@byronbaptist.church.
